Eddie tackles the hard issue of forgiving yourself. The song going number one was only proof that being forgiven by Christ was easy but forgiving yourself was a whole lot harder. He added a choir to this song to bring out the emotion of what it’s like to be truly forgiven and to forgive yourself.
Love “Why does it have to be so complicated? You wrap your fist in religion and then call it love;” just the opening is intriguing. Being mistreated because of the way you look or dress or because of your tattoos is unacceptable. He pulls no punches here as he delicately gets you to think.
His storytelling and the songs on this project run deep, no doubt about it.
