- This is a CD-R
One begins to wonder, “how do you write so much music, Eddie B?” Two words, anger management, and it seems like you put it on this CD. You really poured it out.
Let’s talk about the title cut. People promise you the stars and fall short of that in this business, but I can’t let them get me down there for, “I will praise the Lord if I go through it and I will thank the Lord if I don’t.”
The song, Marry You... As a divorced pastor, I was blackballed by the people that said they, “love you so much.” I was devastated to say the least, and felt like, who would want me, but I serve the God of second chances, and on my first date with Sandi, the Lord told me, “you will marry her.” I don’t want to say too much. I’d rather you listen to this song. PS, it’s been a part of many weddings.
I Believe The middle eight of this song shows the intense relationship with Jesus when he says, “sometimes them demons tell me I’m not even saved, but I keep on taking them blind steps to Jesus.” With its catchy chorus and a piano driven melody, he skillfully hands you a song that encourages you to believe no matter what.
Prince of Peace ... Roll the windows down and let the music out. The guitar melodies and the groove right out of the gate. Real punchy on the drums, and got to love this line, “seems like the devil is working overtime Black Book by his side, he wants me to stumble from the things that he writes inside, you may write what you want to, but Jesus takes it out.” Eddie is a well-seasoned lyricist as he brings it to the culminating fact, “no longer that I live, He took that guilty sin and nailed it to that filthy tree.”
